Good golly, Miss Linda!
HERE'S a curiosity that I found today while reading Good Golly, Ms Molly (1978), a collection of magazine columns written by "outrageous" Welsh-born author/magazine/editor/artist Molly Parkin during the 1970s.
One of the pieces is about Molly attending an all-in wrestling show run by Orig Williams at Llandudno in North Wales. Now, in 1995, I interviewed Orig for a wrestling zine after he'd promoted a show in the Prestatyn Holiday Park, which is near Llandudno. How little had changed in 20 years. But I digress.
One of the wrestlers Molly interviews for the article is a young lady called "Blackfoot Sue". That's a typo, I think., She was actually billed as "Blackfoot Sioux", but she went on to be better known in later years as Miss Linda, the valet (and real-life wife) of flamboyant Welsh-born grappler "Exotic" Adrian Street. He scores a brief mention in this article, too.
I've scanned the article in and present it below. Please enjoy this historical curiosity.
